Tried fishing the Glenora Ferry area for a couple of hours on Saturday morning. Marked a TON of fish on the south shore by the ferry in 70 FOW down between 35 - 50 ft. Problem was all the balls of bait surrounding the marks...couldn't entice one to bite. I think the shad are in again. Was downrigging with DDHJ's in firetiger and smithwicks in chrome & blue. Didn't give it long enough I think as the 2 guys I was fishiing with were getting bored with rigging so we went back to Thompson's where there were plenty of boats but nothing biting or marking there.

Fished Sherman's and the church in the evening with a couple of 13 inch perch to show for it. The area by the pig farm had what looked like floating pig poop in the waters close to shore so we didn't stay in that area for long.

Sunday, fished Sherman's with one 8 inch walleye and a 14 inch catfish. Stopped by the ministry who mentioned that they had only heard of a couple of fish caught out front of Bayview Resort so we gave that a go but no luck there either.

Back up this weekend for another go.

cheers
Ken

We were down from Ottawa on Sunday and we had no luck either. First trip we were able to do since spring. Darned buissness I started is just doing way to well. We considered the ferry as well, but looked at the watches and decided we had better head for home. Keeping all our Sundays open from now till ice up, so I'll post as often as possible.
Good luck to all. :)

Hey Brother, The Model has been under the weather lately. She won't be up this weekend either. Apparently it's just all the guys this weekend up at Bayview. Gonna try and actually catch some Walleye this weekend. Bring the Butterscotch and Jager Bombs  See ya' next weekend.

Hey Steve,

I don't love Tequila though. I'm sure Jackson probably filled you in on that one. It would be extremely dangerous for me on that huge deck of his!
