I have heard of this "ice fishing" and was wondering how many only ice fish and not boat fish? And maybe why...ie no boat or other dutys keep you to buzy.

Never had my 15' tinny on the BOQ. Only hard water fishing for me there.

Besides, the lawn chair sits steadier on flat ice.

I fish the BOQ with my boat aswell as ice fish it. My dad would take me down to the marina in Trenton and we would cast lines from shore when I could barely walk. I've been hooked ever since! It's a great fishery with everything from walleye, whitefish, musky, bass, pike, salmon, trout, panfish, sturgeon, you name it! I've caught all of these in the river by the way, and yes even 3 sturgeon!

no boat for me...when it comes to the walleye its 99% ice fishing on quinte...otherwise its fly fishing the Grand...

If I could fish from my boat year round that would be awesome but that's not the case. In order to to feed my addiction I will quad, walk or crawl through whatever hell mother nature will throw at me just to get a bit of that fishy smell! I must say the B!tch is really putting up a fight this winter. :lol:
