any reports on the walking conditions and fishing mostly jumbos, have friends 5&6 yr olds going for there first hard water trip, and maybe some pointers on where to find them, thanks to all who reply

If u talking the narrows all I have been marking is perch in all fow so u should be ok smaller lures seemed to work for them as bigger there a little more scarce of

Massasauga point, its a conservation park across from Belleville on the south shore down from Peats Point

Walking will be tough at best. Snow is pretty deep and slippery. If your lucky you can get onto a snowmobile trail and it should be somewhat harder then the rest of the area. If your looking for the fish, keep with the masses. If there is a group of people go near them, but not to close. If they are fishing there, its typically because there may be fish around. Get some mud minnows for Walleye, or some maggots and small jigs for perch. Lot's of ice, just don't go wandering where there aren't any foot trails already. People stay off areas for a reason.

Was out Saturday morning. Walk was not too bad just stay on the trails as soon as your off its slush.
