Quinte Fishing

Hey guys had alittle success on the bay this morning and upon returning home to clean my catch I noticed this I was just wondering if anyone has come across this before, is it a sort of marking some anglers use as a personal tagging technique or just pure luck

My guess is a fisherman did it. The tagged fish I have caught were tagged near the dorsal fin and a small tube like tag with numbers on it

I used to do this on a small lake back home with smallmouth just to see if I would catch the same fish again. Its neat to see how many fish are actually in a lake. The holes grow over pretty quick. I would say that was a pretty fresh hole. cool find!

Luckys tournament is doing that to fish this weekend so you can't weigh in same fish twice. Maybe one got released and it was still hungry....

Would explain a lot because I did take it for weight at Luckys must have not noticed them doing this appreciate it fishmagician have solved my mystery lol
