Quinte Fishing

Hi, we are planning a couple of days of fishing around the end of Sept. We plan on staying at Tip of Bay Motel. My question to you is how far am I to if I want to go fish to Shermans Point. I have a a 40hp on a 16 foot boat. Would it be better if I tow the boat to the boat ramp beside the ferry? ALso Picton Bay is that close to the Motel?

The motel is right at the end of the bay and has docking available to the guests.If you want to fish Sherman's it would be quite a run.

The run from picton to Shermans is about 4 miles. Th prevailing winds come from picton towards Shermans/Thompsons point. Usually it would be rougher water on your trip back to Picton....Larry
