I know it's tough to get motivated to get out there with these high winds and conditions but DO IT !!!

I'd love to know where. This is the slowest year we've had ever! DNR officers surveyed some of our guys and said they only saw one fish caught this morning.

Are you sure you're fishing on Quinte?

No, sorry , I don't have any locations to share on the Bay as I haven't had to get out there to fish much this year,( twice I think).

I'm fishing the Trent river and we've had a stellar year.

One thing I'm doing right now while the eyes are on the move is moving. I have holes at every depth in my area, I work them hard, it ain't easy that's for sure but I move and have had to switch to smaller baits, #5 jiggin rap with 1 minnow/head or a yellow pimple tipped to call them in, or a small PK spoon.

I jig aggressively always until I call them in. ( apparently I do alot of dancing on the ice as well my neighbors have said? ......hehehe)

Once they're marked, I do the best I can to put them on the ice. My most successful technique with such a tough bite has been to NOT wait for them to bite , be aggressive and hook them. As soon as I feel weight, I drop and sink my hook. That's it.

Sometimes they're not even hitting my minnow, I drop it into they're mouths and set my hook, it's as simple as baking a pie my wife says. :)

Hook sets are for free boy's !

Best of luck to all of you !!

I wish the "sponsor's" would post more but they don't and won't except for Joe.

I also heard from a friend Chris- WalleyeWonder was banned from this site as well as a "quality" poster from this board Larry.

Sad day's apparently around here as of late, I will miss both their informative posts....

Good luck and be safe!

Randy

PS. I knew that Aaron guy was shady from the beginning, hopefully we all get some justice soon for our missing friend.

So you're fishing the mouth of the trent then? Was thinking about trying there a little closer to home-but not much. :)
