Post subject: Bass fishing at Hay Bay!
PostPosted: Sat Jun 22, 2002 11:14 pm
Hi all,

I'll stay at Hay Bay (pickerel park) during this long weekend (June 29-July 1) for bass/walleye fishing, I know nothing about Bay of Quinte, does anybody can give me some advice about spot, bait/lure, time?

thanks.

peter

Hay BAy has been good for eyes this spring. Most of the folks are dragging bright orange spinners/harnesses on bottom right in front of Pickerel Park. As for bass there is alot of shoreline northeast of pickerel park. A white double willow leaf spinnerbait would be a good lure to start with. Good Luck

Don't be afraid to try a buzzbait on these unpressured fish. Try the shallow flat behind the rockpile near Huffs Warf on the east side. I have seen a buzzbait outperform a spinnerbait several times side by side on Q.
