Here is a little video I made using iMovie. I hope it excites you as much as me for this upcoming fishing season.

Have you drilled a hole thru the ice in front your place to ascertain the amount of ice remaining on Hay Bay???

Even though there is ice still in the lakes, many of the rivers are opening up. I imagine that there should be some pan fishing to be had there at least.

As far as ice out front of me, there was about 2 feet of ice. However it was garbage ice, and there are now some cracks and holes that have formed where I can see some open water. Too risky looking for me to walk on now.

Walked out on hay bay today to perch fish with a long lost bud. Over two feet of clear ice topped by 4-6 inches of white ice. Barring a lot of rain and wind, there will be ice still there in two weeks time.
