Berkely has the new Flicker Minnow releasing in June. I can't wait to try them for shoal and fall eyes. The larger, 3.5inch dives to 25 feet on 10lb braid. I am liking the Prime Time pattern and the Black Silver.

There sure is a lot of buzz about these lures, they have done an incredible marketing campaign for sure....there is no such thing as a magic lure (and I have thousands to prove it) the original Flicker shads are ok but have some issues with the hooks. It seems to me that the biggest appeal of these lures is the price. However as anglers we are always looking for an edge

What are peoples feeling on Live Target for walleye? My honest opinion is they look amazing, catch few fish.

Mike

HOW DID YOU GET THEM?????????????????

We thought they would introduced at the Las Vegas show in July.

We saw them tested on the Next Bite in Lake Erie.

We have had good luck with Flicker shads and we have had some success with Live Target Perch.

regarding live target baits, aside from their poor quality hooks and split rings, the baits themselves do not have good action at slower (walleye) speeds - except the banana baits.

i do not believe they are a very good slow speed trolling bait....they don't make the banana baits in shallow versions, so I don't buy them (as I generally troll for browns which need to be shallow and have action at slow speeds).

I note they did release a "jointed" version this year, but at $20 a pop, I don't think so. A J11 will get the job done at a fraction of the cost.

They would work nicely for salmon, as the salmon generally are trolled at higher speeds, but then you need to change the hooks and split rings....cause they can't handle a king that's for sure!

Live Target really excite bass guys....as they reel with much greater speeds, and don't require quality hooks or split rings.
