Fished Saturday morning for a few hours in the rain and wind. Could only get to the Church/pig farm area due to the wind and Jo's bad back. I landed a nice 26 incher and 19 1/2 incher. Jo hooked into a helluva a fish. It was just pulling and not giving up an inch so she begged me to put it in reverse and we got it right to the boat a couple feet below the surface and GONE after a good ten minutes
I only caught a glimpse of it but it was either a monster Walleye or huge pike. A few minutes later, Jo hooks into another beast. This time she only has it on for about 15 seconds before the line snaps. Jo didn't want to take my advice about re-tying after a big hookup
Jo finally looks poised to LAND her first fish of the day but didn't want to wait for the net and tried to horse the approximately 18 inch 'eye into the boat without the net.
Sunday was a beautiful day and we started at the Church/pig farm area again. Jo finally lands a fish....21 inches and in the slot
We tried Sherman's and Thompson's as well but that was it for the weekend.
Met a couple of guys from Pembroke staying at Bayview that visit this site...sorry I'm terrible with names (I only seem to remember people by the boats they drive
). I hope you guys did well and have some good reports to post.
Anyways, here's a pic of the 26.
