It's that time of the year and we are looking for tournament observers.

I prefer to get guys from the Quinte area and QuinteFishing.com users.
In the past we have got some great guys from this board and made some great friends like Grizzly, Uglystix, Pickerel Killer and of coarse Tylercurt. This is a chance for guys who have just started fishing salmon in the Big lake, to learn the advanced techniques of copper, cores and divers, wire & braid. Also proper Rocket and cut-bait presentations.

You can prefish, the Friday before the tournament with us. Lunches provided.
Big Gene makes a great lunch. :D :D

Tournament Dates.

June 14th - Spring Tightlines Shootout - Scarborough.
Aug. 2nd - Summer Tightlines Shootout - Scarborough
Aug. 9th - ATOMMIK Invitational - Oswego - passport needed.

Just send me a PM on the board if you are interested.
I remember getting a couple PM's from members in the winter about observing this coming season but I didn't mark them in the PM section. Sorry.

Al

There are 3 major tournaments that we compete in that requires the team to provide an observer.
The 3 tournament have a no communication rule. Our team observer will be randomly selected to observe fishing on another team boat during the competition. The job of the observer is to collect all cell phones and seal them in a bag including his own phone during the hours of the competition. Also there job is to insure all members of the team adhere to the rules. The procedure and rules are explained at the Captains and Observers meeting Friday night.

This is to provide a level playing field during the competition.

Hope this helps
Al

This is a great chance to learn about Salmon fishing if you haven’t had the opportunity to try it. The guys set the lines in different configurations trying to find out what gear is hitting and then your arms gets a work out …lol. Saturday you spend the day with a different crew making sure they follow the rules. Bring a few snacks and stuff for the day as well, the crews I went out with made sure I was very comfortable. The entertainment value alone was worth the trips, just seeing how they react to the words “Fish On”…And big Gene does make and awesome sandwich….lol

Never been Salmon Fishing, but sounds like a great time. Anything else required?

if you've never had the pleasure of tangling with a lake ontario salmon, the time you spend prefishing with team rockets will be amazing.

they are a top notch crew!

I volunteered for the ATOMMIK Invitational in Oswego. I have never been on Lake Ontario on the US side, definitely looking forward to it, should be a great learning experience. Definitely looking forward to getting out pre-fishing with Team Rocket and to watch another team in action on tournament day.

Thanks for the opportunity.
