Quinte Fishing

I finally have a really good fishing report (I don't do many reports!).

We started the weekend with a full day on Lake O searching for Brown's but with two boats and four guys we had no luck. Sunday we moved over to Perfect Vue for three nights, and four days of awesome fishing. Sunday went well with five fish in my boat, one in another. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were completely hot though.

My boat saw 30 walleye Wednesday morning alone! Approximate count (for my boat) for the trip was 60. One was caught in front of Bayview, everything else was around the deep hole just north of Huff's to the marker (Green Point?). A significant number were caught in 39 - 41 FOW using bottom bouncer, yellow, yellow/white or silver spinners and worms. Speed bang on 1.5mph. Used boards but running a line down the chute was just as productive.

Tuesday was mostly all eater size but we picked up a few notables in shallower water (20 ft). Biggest was 10 lbs, next was 6. All the rest were between 1.5 - 4 lbs. We finished Wednesday morning with a successful triple header! Fished a couple of hours on Wednesday afternoon for our keepers and reluctantly went home. My wife was very impressed that I came home with fish this time.

If anyone was around I was the Alumacraft I/O; had two of us on board Sunday and Monday, and three on board Tuesday, Wednesday.

Browns in Athol Bay - still a little early. There are a FEW around but still slow. Mixed wind direction isn't let the water get warmed enough.
