Quinte Fishing

Fishing by 6am and working flats in far east end of Hay Bay (8to 15 FOW) bottom bouncing spinner rig. The usual perch with some crappie thrown in. Moved to Ram Is. and bottom bounced 8-20 FOW with same results minus the crappie. Moved to Sherman's Pt and bottom bounced from 8-25 FOW until the sun was high with only perch. Decided to cast cranks on emerging weed bed in 6 to 10 FOW. On the second wind of the first cast, savage hit - 26" walleye. Every pass on that weed bed I managed a walleye, with several over the max size limit. Crank and pause was the winning cadence. I had a difficult (but wonderful) time of getting my four preferred 20". Could have stayed longer but the dog had received enough sun.

What kind of cranks were you throwing?

CC Shad - silver; purple; chartreuse

all colours worked equally.
