Yes I know they're not popular but an old friend of mine from Europe loves them wants to fish for carp, I know they spawn springtime and don't bite ...you see them roll in the weeds :-) But when is that over?

Thanks

They should be biting now and for the rest of the summer they are awesome to catch fight like hell when its to hot to bass fish I go sit in the shade off shore with a can of corn and a few hooks and sinkers in the bays and shallows and you should be good to go

Would love to try for carp sometime. Anyone willing to share some spots via PM?

wait until they are spawning and hoot them with a bow. then can still put up nice fight on a string with an arrow in them

Second marsh in Oshawa was always a killer spot. The fish move up Farewell creek to the filtration plant and there is a pond on the backside of the marsh which gets filled with them too.

Any marsh area is a great spot to look.

My wife and i just got back from Kayaking behind Petes point in Belleville in the swamp behind there... thousands of Carp spawning. They are thrashing all over the place along the shore and in the reeds. Some of them were coming right up to the Kayaks. you could easily bow fish for them behind there... never done it or what is required. Safe to say they are spawning.

Caught a 3 lb walleye from the Kayak along the front side of petes pointe too ...
