This was my first week of charters out of Wellington. The salmon are slow but I have managed a bite or two a day of kings with a mix of lake trout, rainbow and one lost walleye in between the kings. The walleye came down 15' over 205 fow couldn't believe my eyes.

Here is the best king of the season that came today

Another small king from today.

A good rainbow from yesterday.

A laker from this week as well

The water is warming up and the fishing should gradually get better.

I know I have posted about it a few times on here and I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I have really enjoyed fishing with the new Navionics card. The detail around the bonnet is amazing and makes fishing the break lines much easier. It has made a difference for me.
If you have an older card you can buy the updates card for around $110. Its worth every penny.

Thanks for the report Scott, Great to see you're getting a few and have some happy customers, but still looks like it's pretty tough out there.

Wild with that walleye like that. I wonder if there is a connection with temperatures or baitfish and the salmon not being here in any numbers yet?

Update: 3 for 4 yesterday all kings. Still much slower then last year but I'm encouraged that we are consistently taking kings. Talking to some of the other charter guys west of us, we are getting more kings then they are. Here is to hoping the numbers continue their incline.
