coming to Quinte

Hi all.
I just joined this forum as I am planning at trip to Quinte on the 5,6,7, of November. I should say just found this great forum too. I can't get a map in time to plan ahead but am wondering if I will be able to get one in Picton as that is where my wife and I will be staying. It's our aniversary, what a wife. I am also trying to picture where these spots everyone is talking about, but without said maps it is hard. I have a 18.5 Profisher so I am basically looking at trolling and hope that is what the bite is on. We are rigged with planer boards and riggers. I generally have fished Erie but mostly Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. Any help or advice readily taken and appreciated. What a great Forum, thanks to the people who run it, and those sharing information.

Hey Walleye, welcome aboard!

It won't be difficult to find the fish, just look for the boats :!:

But in case that doesn't pan out for you. If you're staying in Picton, just head out of the small Bay where the boat ramp is.

As you troll the right side you'll come to a branch on the right, that area's been hot lately. It's referred to as Adolphus Reach. The Glenora ferry is there as well. You can use 2 rods per angler past the ferry(east side).

Eh , Walleye , I too will be up that week end with my wife and another couple, ( have to keep the women happy some how right ) We'll be staying at Merland's . Just listen for the ladies complaining that it's too cold to fish and that'll be us. I can give you a few pointers on location and tackle . Stop in for a brown pop. Good luck and have a good outing .

Hi Guys, thanks. We are going to stay in Picton at Tip of the Bay. I am hoping to get there around 6 or 7 pm friday. We'll try to find you at Merland's. If you see a white cuddy Profisher with a green top stop and say hello. The boat kinda sticks out like a turd in a punchbowl. What frequency is everybody on VHF.
Can't wait to get there.
