Stacey,

thank you very much for the quick order we received last week. The new lures already have a few teeth marks in them :)
I am heading up this weekend to stay at a cottage on the Telegraph Narrows, may fish for eeyes and throw a few big lures around......
thanks again for the great service!

James,

The service is what im here for, to help anglers out with tackle and information. Promoting this amazing fishery that we have, and safe catch and release.

Nice to see that the lures are working for you. The baits always look better with teeth holes in them.

Good Luck in the narrows

Thank you for the compliment,

Stacy Ash

Stacey,

Product and Service go along way....

Hopefully I will get into some eyes if not I will be casting and trolling my regular stuff. How is the Muskie Population in the Narrows and Quinte? Do you know where I can get a good map for the weekend?

Thanks again
James

James,

The Musky Population is getting better in the bay year after year. The cleaner water with more weed structures ideal for the Bass, Pike and musky make them one of the better speices to fish there now. The Walleye population is OK but it is going down hill. (Its Not because of Preditor fish).

Fish your points, break lines and weed bars. Some of the better spots are in the narrows from Picton to deseronto. Finding fish gets better in time, if you put enough time on the water searching ideal locations you should be able to get into some nice fish.

I have been fishing/chartering mostly on the rivers and lakes north of the Bay so far this season. I did catch a 45 incher in the bay by Snake Island already this season. It takes a little more time to find fish there but it will pay off in time.

Good Luck,

Stacy Ash

Stacy:

Moved away from the bay 9 years ago before it changed.
I was curious to know if there is a large enough population of skies in the Bay for any patterns to be popping up yet.
I remeberlong time ago seeing old pictures from the thirties with big stringers of Muskies.
I assume this was before eutrophication.
My freinds dad said that one of the best places along long time ago was the causeway which would have been the old bay bridge.
How are Moira and Stoco.
I was back there 2 years ago and noticed they were much weedier then what I remebered.
Is it all a weed bite now there?
Just curious

Darren,

The muskies in the bay are relating to weed structures, Points/coves and deep breaks. In other words they could be almost anywhere and yes they are still around the bay bridge here in Belleville.

Moira and Stoco have been excellent fishing so far but they are getting alot of preasure on weekends. I just got back from Moira Lake and there must of been a boat in every cove, on every weed bar and some trolling.

We have landed 19 Muskies so far and the last 7 were all over 41 inches.
We have seen 30- 40 muskies on follows. landed over 30 Pike with larger musky plugs.

The weed structures in the systems are about 3 weeks behind in growth but is still holding fish and is fishable. The more weed structures the better!
The water clarity is getting better over the years but is still stained, Moria lake being the cleanest at the moment.

Good Luck,

Stacy Ash
