Buddy of mine booked a charter with HomeWrecker Charters out of Newcastle and asked if I would be interested in joining him. Been far to long since I have been salmon fishing on the big lake and thought what the hell. 4am alarm clock which didn impress the wife , had the day beginning. On water shortly after 6 with our guide sean, who is owner of the charter. We fished shallow early with little success. After close to 2 hrs with nary a sniff I could see the angst on our guides face. He however did what it took and after several changes to the setup had us in no time into the fish. Bite was hot most of morning and managed 3 beauties after lunch. We finished up the day with 7 kings and 3 beauty rainbow. Lunch provided and all fish cleaned and bagged for us. Was very impressed and tend to do this again very soon. Sean worked his butt off for us and runs a tip top outfit. Just an FYI in case someone wants to try a different spot on the big lake. If I had a clue how to load pics I would but biggest fish was 26 with prob close to a twenty pound average.

Thanks for posting. I am giving the Bonnet another go Friday afternoon, then next week, head to Darlington. Seems to be more productive to the East this year.

Have not fished out of darlington before and almost no experience at salmon, any info like where to launch and general area to try would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time and consideration
