After last weekend's Derby, the time was right for a visit with my Son and two grandsons. we got to fish on Tuesday AM and fished from Carp Cove to Shermans with limited results, only landed three eyes and a sheepy

William's First Sheepshead - they sure can pull on the rod.

He sure was happy.

Albert was the lucky walleye fisher that morning. He's holding his catch.

Image

Before the evenings meal, we hit the water at 1600hrs and fished at Kingscourt and the BITE was on....... Fished for two hours and the boys landed eight more walleyes. There was lots of excitement and high fives after each fish.

William and a nice pair

That evenings meal was Grandad's first solo fish fry and we all enjoyed the fruits of the fishing - as seen below.

Image

On Wednesday morning we hit the water and headed for the Old Church, started at 0915 and William had a fish landed by 0920, then Albert hooked and one by 0940 - Wow!!!! Two fish in twenty minutes - must still be biting.

On our second pass, Albert yells "Fish ON!!!! and it's a big one" He reeled carefully and steady and Dad slipped the net under a nice Northern. His first pike!!!!!!

Image

We keep trolling, catching walleyes and sunfish and then Albert hooks another big one, not everyone's cup of tea, but a small lad, it's a real challenge. Baaaafish!!!!!!!

Image

What great fishing - everyone is Happy-Happy-Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We called it a morning at 1200 with a total of ten walleyes, a pike, a sheepshead and a couple or three sunfish - not to mention the incidental perch or two.

Here's a couple of Happy guys holding their fish.

Image

After the fish-fry, the boys were able to take some fish home for their Mom and another fish fry.

My son rigged the camera on the back of the golf cart and took a family shot.

Image

Everyone had hoped that Great Grandfather - Papa Bert could have been there for all the fishing fun, but he's under the weather and we're all hoping he gets better real soon.

The boys each dedicated one of their fish to Papa - it was a heartwarming tribute.

We are looking forward to each guy coming down for another kick at the walleye can in a week or so.

FORGOT: All fish were caught on the Uzick Spinner and the Superdad Swinger.....

Stay Tuned

David aka Superdad aka Grandad
