Sorry if this is a repeated subject, but I did a search first and didnt find what I was looking for. Looking to take my kids fishing in the Trenton/Belleville area. Would like to find a nice spot off a dock or shoreline where the kids would have some good action. Thanks

Meyers Pier....Belliville=Bass, Panfish, Walleye (especially at night, probably not when your wanting to take the kids)also the odd Pike,or Muskellunge...The Rocks that are across from the lighthouse are also good ).......Murray Canal just east of Trenton=Panfish, Bass, maybe the odd Walleye, Trenton...Trent Canal.....Belliville...Moira River, both have lots of spots=lots of Panfish, Drum, hit and miss for lots of other species, also there is the Park before you cross the Bay Bridge in Belliville.....the road to the right at the lights....there is parking...and a short walk takes you out towards the middle under the bridge(SOME CURRENT THERE ESPECIALLY IN SPRING,WINTER)probably not much current right now, but I cant say for sure(PERHAPS LIFEJACKETS?)

Nick, there is also a restaurant on the pier and people. If you want a bit of seclusion ,walk out on the rock wall, just 100 yrds or so to the east. The end of the rock wall will put you across from the light house ,which is at the end of Myers Pier.Parking lot is also just east of the Pier, usually free, but I haven't looked lately. Once in the parking lot you can choose between the rock wall and pier, short walk to either, you could always try both. If you try the pier, it gets a little deeper and a little less weedy near the end, before, it juts left towards the lighthouse.(the mouth of the Moira River)
