Hey guys, i was just wondering where i should go this weekend, i usually fish Picton Harbour but it seems to me that it is a little early still but please correct me if im wrong, i have a small 14 foot boat with a 20hp on it so i dont if i'll be able to handle big open water, please let me know if there are any areas that would be good fishing and safe enough for me.

Hey taro, welcome aboard!

You'd be alright in Adophus reach assuming it's not an westerly, or easterly wind, based on my experience there last week. And as a bonus, stay east of the Glenora Ferry and you can use two rods, more incentive.

Great launch at the ferry and another a couple clicks from that...

I am usually a Picton Bay man myself...but the fish were biting in the Reach last week :!: ...

Actually Taro I haven't been out for the night bite yet! Even when I was down two weekends ago, they were biting so well during the day, night fishing wasn't necessary!

If your trolling just out of Picton Bay along the weedline there, just past the pumphouse that is on your left as you leave the Bay. To the right, the weedline tends to run the same as the shoreline leaving the bay. That is it runs North/South.

I would bet you'll do alright. That's typically a spot I frequent quite often in November and December. Based on what's happening all in the Bay and Reach areas now, they're probably all over.
