Not looking for secret bay of quinte bass holes, but curious as I have not fished this late for bass where they tend to school up, I know it likely depends on the day and water temperature. Are the fish highly mobile throughout the day moving from shallow to 8 to 9 foot range or can school generally be found in certain areas?

Big bass are on fire right now. I fish the Trent and believe it or not Big Eye Custom harnesses are working better than top water stuff. Find yourself a weed edge and go get'em. :)

We found this weekend that you just had to search for the good weed using searchbaits( ie chatterbait, spinnerbait, crank) then pick it apart flippin' when you find them. We would pull a bunch out of a tiny little spot, back-to-back casts, etc when you find them.

Tight lines,

Ben Clapp

Got out just the other day and its just like Ben said. find some good looking green weed and they are there. and likley schooled up. We beat the shoreline for a few hours with nothing to show. started jumping around until we found some good weeds and then caught about 15 off one very small area. Water temp was 52

I have been targeting walleye for the last 3 or 4 weeks, but seem to be catching more bass than walleye. We are ripping bucktail jigs on typical walleye spots, (shoals, weedlines, etc...) but the bass are there. I'd have to agree with finding good healthy weed growth.

Good Luck!!!
