Quinte Fishing

Launched outta picton at 7ish set up and fishing by 7:30 on the east side of ferry. Watched the graph and only saw a few marks but waayyy down deep. after a while picked up and moved further east and experienced the same thing there. Some marks on graph but very deep. Water temp was 52-53. Decided to run into thompson /shermans area. First thing I noticed was water temp 46. alot more marks near bottom. Had a board give a good rip back but then the flag popped up and reel stopped. Short while later board goes back and reel starts clickin and its a 6lb pike. I didnt see any nets going over the side on other boats. Back at it tomorrow.

Pretty much the same for us. Spent this past weekend at quinte. 2nd year out for the fall fishing so we are in no ways experienced. Sat all day Sun half day fishing. Marked many fish way out east past ferry but all 50ft or deeper, 1 good pull on a flat line Sat. Sun fished Picton bay, didn't mark much so moved up to Sherman's. Lots of boats, colder water but didn't see anything caught either.

Next year we will be heading up end of Nov.
