Well we had a tough go to say the least with those south winds. Seemed like we trolled sideways most of the weekend. Met up with Tim (Tylercurt) and Dave (TheDL) Saturday AM and headed out breaking through some ice along the way. Worked the typical fall troll from Keiths to past the cave and back to the ferry. Only managed to pick up 2 fish for the day, nothing over 7 pounds. Tough day but great to meet a couple guys off the board and we had some great stories to share, thanks guys.

After a much-needed sleep-in, we headed out around 830 Sunday morning just Rachel and myself. Worked the same area and had 3 fish before noon. Again, no pigs, biggest was 8 pounds. Decided to pack it in around 2 to head home to Niagara, but we made a quick stop inside the ferry. Didn't have the lines out 5 minutes and had one on, biggest of the trip, but still not the one we were looking for. I guess it's the bay's way of getting us back there again next year. Getting fish but still not that illusive 12+.

All in all, was still good to get down there for our only trip of the fall. Should note that all fish were released except for one 3 pounder that we'll be frying up tonight.

No real pattern that I can share. I think only one lure took more than one fish - a TD9 in the copper on the 2 color leadcore - first time I ever ran it. Other fish came on firetiger and eriedescent TD11's.

Good luck and stay safe to anyone that heads out the remainder of the year. We'll be back for the hardwater - earlier the better!

Matt

Matt and Rachel , thanks again for the great day on the water, always nice to meet board members from afar. Glad you got into a few on Sunday
. Looking forward to the hardwater now, give me a shout when your ready to go and I'll do my best to put you on some fish.
Dave , nice to finally meet, noticed that we've been communicating on another site as well. We'll have to get together in Gan for sure this winter.
Tim
