Five days the boat managed to get out on Quinte this season but am forced to pack it all in for work. Would have expected more fish be in Adolphus sooner this year but found that it was the complete opposite. This season there wasn't a day out on the Bay when the water temps were ever below 50F. Everything in 50-59F. Although, in some past years those temps have actually been magical. Many fish have held long out on the main lake, and I can only imagine what kind of great fishing is about to happen now if the weather permits.

White bass galore, plenty sheepies, smaller resi-like eyes with a few bigguns thrown in for the later trips especially, this fall I've found the BOQ has been rather stingy overall.

35 total... but no skunks, so that's a good thing.

Favorite thing about Quinte is the social aspect of fishing out there. Always a pleasure to share the boat with friends or family while trolling a spread of pumpkins. It's rare I take a rod anymore and reel one in. Those fishing aboard, always enjoy their day out, and the proof is in pictures.

Some snapshots from this years time out on the water...

Best fishing is yet to come in the Bay. Get out there and enjoy it when Mother Nature gives ya the chance.

As far as I am concerned each fisherman is entitled to their limit of fish as defined by the MNR

Are you sure it's the MNR that's out to lunch and not you?? Just because a person posts pictures of big fish doesn't mean they are keeping them. And then throw out some other crap against another guy saying "you know his type"

Relax man!!!

The future is already here, I have a sport licence and allowed 4 fish, one which can be over 24 inches. A ruler is a must in my boat even though I probally release 60 percent or higher. If some guy(s) want to go fish and keep their legal limit I personally see no problem. I don't like to see the gutted remains tossed into the bush's like at hay bay this summer, that are the guys that get my goat. Just my 2 cents.
Seasons greetings Rob

I don't keep big fish personally, just saying that you do have the right to take your limit as set out by the regs.
