Got a late start sunday am as the motor was a little froze up got on the water around 930 am headed right up to the light house. Didn't even get my 4 rods out hit a grate fighting 18 lb lake trout. After fishing east of the ferry for two or more hours and marking nothing we headed back west of the ferry. Started marking all kinds of fish as soon as we started trolling. Trolled for ten min got a nice 8 lber on a reefy black and sliver back 168 out 100 or so. Then we kept working 50 to 70 FOW hit a ten lber on same set up. Then we started too have to troll in and out of ice. We ended the day with a grate Fighting 13.6 lb. peace of ice. Lol. Water temp was 34 33 by the ferry are days are getting numbered boys and girls. Grate day with forgetting my sun glasses at home I guess i have to take the time to thank the girl friend in laws dad for a grate day on the bay !!!! Lol

I am hoping the weather forecast stays good for next weekend. We were down last Friday and had a fun day, and am hoping to take the crew back for 2 final days of 'soft water fishing'..

Not moving now until the late spring, Desoronto area from up north sudbury way, we were hoping to be down for some hard water action on the bay.. I am reading here and getting more and more excited about fishing the bay. I am concerned about the ice being a newbe to the area next winter, does anyone know of a good resource to find trouble areas or gps tracks of safe areas to ride the sleds out to fish. I am thinking this may be the place to get that insight.

Thanks for the great site guys, it sure is going to help me adjust to fishing in a new area of ontario.
