I stayed there a couple of years ago, but not in the winter. The cottages were good at a reasonable price. Ice conditions may be your biggest concern because of the location. When I was there I asked about ice fishing, and they told me they don't book too far in advance because they can't predict the conditions. Best bet would be to give them a call and see what they say.

Hope this helps!!

We've been there the last 2 years in the later part of February. We bring up our own fishing hut and transportation. The cabins are very clean and perfect for a week get away of fishing. Mark will go out of his way to help with anything from repairs to fishing tips.

As for ice conditions, we never had any issues or concerns. Although last year was tough with a quad and the amount of snow.

I don't think ice conditions were an issue last winter anywhere..lol I believe this is a high current area which you should always be concerned about. Especially if there is a stretch of mild weather.
