Several members of our group caught some very nice fish. The winds were relentless but we still managed to fish and not get too wet. I will wear a rainsuit under my floatation suit next time for sure!
Thanks to all for tips posted and to the folks at Merland Park.
We had a blast and will be back soon!
Our best was a titch over 15 lbs. All fish that were able to swim were released. ( I think only two were kept)
The shad population was incredible!

BigFish,
A Niagara guy.. welcome aboard. I grew up in St Kitts fishing the brown runs in Port Dalhouise, the whirlpool and the canals. DO the browns still run in dalhouise? Glad to see you made out well and again welcome aboard
