A few buddys told me it was pretty much wide open last Sunday, but I would imagine it must have at least 2 inches by now. Don't think it will be fishable for tomorrows opener, (for me anyways) but hoping it may be alright by the weekend. I might take a drive out there tomorrow to see if there is any sign of life. If I feel brave maybe I'll take my spud and measuring tape and venture out to 4-5 FOW and see what's up...lol

Anybody have any other info??

Probly wouldn't be worth your time. I Have a buddy who lives on the island and says ice has just formed. Be a while yet.

Just because one lake has ice doesn't mean another one does. I fished a lake with 5" of ice 2 days ago and wanted to try the one neighboring it and it had less than 2". A lot of factors come into play!

I live on the Bog. If I have time today I will walk out and drill a couple holes and see how it looks.

Walked out to about in front of Caesera, just around the corner from the pier. Punched a couple of holes up to about 6 fow. Found any where from 3.5 - 5.5 inch's. No huts or anyone fishing as far as I could see.

Thanks crl... I just got back from checking a few spots myself. Drove by Goreskis and there was 3 or 4 huts out there and a couple of sleds. Drove up off the end of Island Rd. and saw 1 hut. I spudded my way out about 300 feet, popped a couple holes and found the same thing. About 5.5 inches of clear ice. I could see through the ice and right to the bottom. Probably about 5-6 fow. Looks like the winds are supposed to die down, so I think I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
