Hey just wondering how much ice on the big bay there

With these temperatures it should be good always spud and bring a buddy and a freakin rope !! Stay safe.

Was hoping to get out ice fishing this weekend and was wondering where the best spot for ice is, any word on potters? I know thats normally one of the first spots to freeze up.

Potters has approx. 5-6 according to my buddy who is presently fishing there now..........can only build with these temps!! But be safe as with any early ice.

Thanks for the update Jubes Walleye, that's probaly where I'll be headed this weekend. Any word if their bitting at potters?

I fished potters last season but I can't remember where to park and access. Can anyone help

There's a parking lot off of highway 2 on your left. It's just past walbridge loyalist rd if your heading towards Trenton. You can park and access from there.

Quinte Conservation Area

6 km - hiking, cross-country skiing, snoshoeing, canoeing/kayaking

The Quinte Conservation Area is a 140-hectare former farmstead that offers hikers and cross-country skiers 6 km. of trails through relatively even terrain. Dog owners and their four-legged friends will enjoy the 'Pooch Path' loop. Potter Creek winds its way through the area toward the Bay of Quinte. Picnic tables near the shore and the Nortel Arboretum are other features of interest. There is access to the Bay of Quinte for canoeing, kayaking, and windsurfing, although there is no boat launch. Parking is available on both sides of Old Hwy 2. A pedestrian tunnel provides safe access to trails on the north side of Old Hwy 2. Quinte Conservation Area is the home of the popular children's summer Conservation Day Camp program and site of the Quinte Conservation main office.
