Went out of Pete's point and headed east and out to cow island. There was about 6-8 inches of black ice. Not too much snow on the ice with some snow drifts here and there. Fishing was slow for us with partner getting one and losing 2. Didn't mark alot. The odd school of perch and every once in a while a big mark up high. Water was dirty and a bit of an east current. Talked with 2 groups with one saying they got a couple and the other saying the same.

The mark up high was likely a Gar. Next time you see it look down the hole and you'll likely get a look. See them at Potters often.
