took the sled out from Deseronto docks from 1 - 6 today. good black ice, 5 to 6 inches, can see right through it down 12 ft. lots of huts and a few sleds out. fished 25 ft some markings, one nibble, no fish. seemed slow around the area, but a few fish caught within earshot. going to try the same area again Tuesday.

Fished Deseronto Tuesday with a buddy. We had very few marks and the smell of skunk for our first trip but did see fish caught by others around us.

We were about 400 yards east of the bridge and fished a hump. We were on 4 to 5 inches of clear ice but on our last hole, 10 feet way, second smack of the spud went through. It wasn't black ice but with the light dusting of snow out there, it made it difficult for us to tell by just looking.I was amazed to see guys walking out without checking the ice and even the sled out there.
