Hi scar0707, welcome to the boards.
Before you head up this way, I will advise you that there isn't any safe ice yet. At least not safe enough to walk on that's for certain. I'm guessing that it will be the end of December or into January before the ice cover really gets established. I recommend monitoring the posts on these boards, looking out for ice reports from the locals before heading up this way. Good luck.

Scar0707, here is a handy map which was created by Tylercurt on these boards that is handy for locating the fishing areas of Quinte:

I recommend spending some time going through the years of posts that are available here ... it takes a bit of effort to figure our when each "ice season" starts in the pages but there is a wealth of information on locations, lures, techniques etc just ready to be processed. It made a huge difference to our gang when we started heading to the BOQ a decade ago!

Good luck out there and be safe!

well my time has come to finally come check out the bay of quinty... wooooooo. i did some reading from passed years read lots of cool stuff on here guys, i say thanks to that. but from not being from the area its hard to know where to start. like i said in my first post i will have to walk out pulling a clam 2 man flip over. i checked out the map and see lots of places to go. if i dont have to go as far as bellville to get great fishing then i will go to the closest spot for me would be trenton. at the same time i dont mind driving if its better to stay in bellvile for food/sleep/bait/thrill. i guess what im asking for is a happy medium. what to make this one of the best memories to last forever. thanks again guys/gals for all your help i have learned lots for this form and you all do a great job keeping it all going.
