So who got a ticket and how much was it... Pulled in close to 3 and there were a bunch of trucks parked at the turnaround with tickets. First time in a few years, do they not realize how much money the county makes on fisherman, hotels and gear. This will make people think twice and fish in the Belleville area. There is parking for $5 half way up the hill if your so inclined to pay for parking.

I wondered that myself we parked at the pay parking lot both days we fished Huffs. I figure after all the $ I dropped between The Fox, Dew Drop, restaurants, paying for no hassle parking is well worth it.

is the road at the turn around posted with NO PARKING signs?? .......... how much Garbage did you see laying all over the peoples lawns that live there? ........ were both sides of the road lined with cars making it one very narrow lane? . and last but not least im thinking the $5 parking sounds like a much better idea now???
For years ive always said the fishermen need to band together and secure safe parking and ice access before its too late but people don't care until they get a ticket.......... Big Island road is 5klm long with no parking signs posted the whole way so thank you must be sent out to the wager Farm at least there is one safe and 100% legal place to park on Big Island.
A few years back I beat out a ticket I got for parking at peats point simply because there was no signs posted saying no parking...... at first they said there is no parking on any road in PEC in the winter I exclaimed that's great but how was I to know this since at the time I did not live in PEC . how was I supposed to know isn't that why they post no parking signs? . My ticket was tossed out. No fine!
Everyone that got a ticket should send in a not guilty plee and have there day in court. if there is signs posted stating no parking id say your out of luck and pay the fine lol thats the risk you ran when you parked

I am happy to pay the $5 parking. Anything to keep him plowing out a parking lot. If he decides the cost and work to keep it clear isn't worth it, then what. What happens if there is no parking lot and no parking, then we are all s.o.o.luck.
Small price to pay, considering all the costs of fishing.

I have no problem what so ever paying for parking. I park at wagers all the time. I think it's great that he's taken the time to provide us with the comfort of safe parking. I hope he continues to do so for years to come and definately appreciate his efforts.

I don't mind paying for parking occasionally but I fish 4-5 days a week and it can get expensive when your retired (between gas, minnows and parking). Looks like I might have to change locations if this is going to be a constant issue. I hope he does keep it open as alot of people from out of town can use the lot. Just hard to find local places to me that are accessible to walk on and no parking issues.

Five f'ing bucks. It's your choice to be there that often . Support the guy that wants to provide a spot for you to park. Why are you not complaining about the cost of bait and fuel. Go park where it's free.

Because I'm retired and on a pension , I have to basically suck it up, really? Sorry money doesn't grow out my ass, I get out and enjoy fishing so I have to pay for the privilege I guess? Not expecting a free ride but the parking at the bottom has never been an issue before so why are they ticketing now is all I was trying to get across.

Maybe he'd cut you a deal for a season pass?

Husky , not a bad idea, might go and do that, just at 20-25 bucks a week is steep for me.

Tylercurt I hear yea, when I am not working and have to live of the pension it is a different story, $25 a week is an expense. But hey congrats on being part of the old boys club. Who knew all a person had to do was spend his evening putting together maps that show all the local fishing spots and a brief description. Typing up a list of spots that a person can shore fish and what species to target, helping to organize the battle of the bay and high school trips, day trips to release fry back into the rivers. Guess I will never make it into the club, I just like to come on this site and reap the benefits of your info. Please don't let the opinion of the other bottom feeders slow down or stop your contribution to this site.
Cheers Rob
