Thursday was a bit windy but not as bad as some of the recent winds. I wonder who has ticked off the wind gods this year. I think it was Patio as he hasnt been posting as per usual. Anyway started out east of the ferry. Spoke with FishFinder and assumed he would be heading east. he told me he has also been covering Shermans/Thompsons area. We started out with a bunch of boats by the lighthouse east of ferry. Could see the odd fish being caught but not fast and furious. Got a couple on the thunderstick firetiger on the boards. After a while picked up and went to thompsons. only 3 charter boats there. caught a few more fish on same lure. 160ft back both flatline and board. Also lost a few. Then my motor quit and had to paddle to shore where a very nice lady allowed me to recharge starter battery and be on our way.
Friday was a repeat of thursday except we spent more time at thompsons and caught 5 fish there( all on the storm thderstick firetiger). Again most of the time the only boats there were fishfinder and along with a few other charter guys who made their way over there from east of the ferry. Spoke with some folks from Illinois who had managed 14 fish east of the ferry using ledcore and reef runners.
I just bought a DVD burner and while out fishing brought my digital camcorder and taped some of the action. Now I have to figure out how to use the burner then I will try posting them.
Might be able to get out before the get together. If not see you there
