just got back. lots of snow out there, wouldn't want to be a walker today. and the slush ponds are starting to develop too with all this insulating snow. Visibility in the dark pre 7 a.m. was also crap due to blowing snow. tried the other side of forester towards the Reach this a.m. bite was slow for me. marked enough but they wouldn't come up off bottom. 7 of us all together and only one 2 pounder caught. was getting ready to call it quits around 9:45 when a big mark came in and hit my jigging rap. got the cow to the hole and she went nutty and I just couldn't coax the head up through the hole and then she was gone. I figure 10+, would of been my 1st double digit! at least I got the fight and saw it.

ice was 8+ where I fished but no idea anywhere else. if you have a sled without studs and low power, I would be concerned with the slush ponds, and it's only going to get worse I expect with another 10 to 20 cms of snow coming. Good luck!
