Any body know how the ice is at dog lake? I'm sure its great but just wondering if anybody is driving on it, I drove out last year from shipyards but there were great trails already , I don't have an ATV so I don't wanna slug it if I don't have too!

speaking of dog lake can anyone please please help me?? today a buddy and i went to go fish at hogans bay on dog lake, but when we crossed the bridge off burnt hills road off of highway 15 we turned left and ended up at cranberry lake cove but we wanted to go to hogans bay on dog lake. needless to say we got frustrated and left home after a good 45 minute drive. so what im asking is should we have kept going straight at the first stop sign to get to our destination??

Sounds like you went down Carrying Place road, first left after the swing Bridge. Instead keep going straight for about another mile, turn left on Hogan Lane. If you come to a second bridge you have past it by about 200 yards. Good luck.

Hogan's campground at the end of Hogan Lane, Yes. You can go right onto the ice there. Campground at the bridge no. It's private property, not plowed and they do not allow people in there in the winter months. Ice can also be considerably thinner near the bridge as well.

You could use mapquest or google earth.
