What I find funny if u read the regs say summer season closes December 31, then ice season opens January 1st

Just to add. Easy way to think about it. The dates in the the regs are the "open dates". For some reason many people read the dates listed (01Jan-01March) as an open date & closing date which doesn't make sense. If the regs say 01Jan-01March then Walleye are open on those dates and all days inbetween unless otherwise listed in the regs.

Again, this is the whole reason for all the miss confusion. People start talking about closing dates. 31 Dec is an open date. Just like 01 Jan. It's an open date.
