We are visiting a friend who is in Hay Bay on Saturday but they don't regularly ice fish. There is no deep water where they live so we will need to access the ice at a different point. I was thinking of going out from the Old Church but would like to see if anyone has gone out from there lately. In particular, I would like to know if there are any trails packed down from there as we will be walking. I would really like them to catch some fish but have never fished from this area before and my past visits to Quinte this year have not produced much. If anyone has any tips that would help, I would appreciate them. The other alternatives would be Shermans or Huffs, any thoughts?

Im assuming the old church your talking about it by haybay, if so I haven't been down that way in awhile but I know Thompsons point which is east of the church on concession road 3 has a good spot to go out and there's a decent trail packed down as of today, ice is about a 1ft, fishing has been ok?? Not really productive but usually catch something anyway. Good luck!!

Thanks for the information. Where exactly is the access point? I've checked Google maps and nothing seems obvious except maybe parking along the road. How far out would it be to the fishing area?

Sorry about the delayed reply, the access point is on concession road 3 towards the west end not sure about the name for the road but it's a small boat launch with parking between two houses. There a few spot for perch within a short walking distance, walleye spots start about 700 to 1000 or more yards out?? Good luck.
