Got out for a couple of days on the water with my Dad. Tuesday morning and early afternoon trolled a few different locations with no luck. Sonar lit up like 4th of July in all locations, but no takers. Tried every different color in my box, with and without boards, fast, slow, deep, shallow, nothing doing. Headed to another spot late afternoon, shallow hump with about 16-22 feet of water on the outside and about 8 feet on top. Decided to throw some deep diving minowbaits with some success as short lived as it was. First fish 10 lb 11 oz, 29.5" long with 17.5" girth. Second about 20 minutes later 9 lb 5 oz. Third about 30 minutes after the second was my personal best of 13 lb 7 oz, 31.5" long with 22" girth. Then nothing, funny only bitting for about an hour. Nothing before, nothing after. Headed out Wednesday morning for a few hours with no luck again, so we went back to the house. Later in the afternoon we returned to the spot from Tuesday afternoon/evening and same thing but a different color of bait to get them in the boat. Dad picked up a 9 lb 7 oz and about 30 minutes later, I pulled in a 12 lb 6 oz. Had to head in for dinner, so cut the fishing a little short. Best days that I have ever had on the water and really enjoyed myself. Here's to hoping that I can get out a few more times as the temp drops, should only get better.

Mike

That's some tough going Mike!

I'm only hoping that since a lot of people have been having a tough go of it lately, the fishing will pick up again soon :!: After all, I'm heading down in a weeks time :!: 8O
