I admit it, I dropped one lure and also the front drag setting knob of a reel down the hole while trying to undo a birdsnest. It sucks watching it go to bottom on the graph
I'm curious to know what else got dropped down the hole this year?

I had a customer drop a phone down the hole, it usually me, lost 2 last year..
Another dropped a tip up unit and I had some customers put a pail to the bottom ( intentionally I think)
I dropped a lure but with my fish tv and treble hook managed to get it back.

I dropped a lot of fish back down the hole! But you will never believe this one. I had my line down at bottom with a 3/8 buckshot on. Flasher was on and I was watching my jig like any other day. Well don't I drop another lure down the hole. I watch it fall on the flasher getting closer to bottom. I thought oh hell I'll try and snag it when it gets to my lure. So I made one big jig and the lure stopped falling...I thought no way in hell did that work. Sure enough I reeled up and there hangs my dropped lure from the buckshot hahaha

X2 actually it's always great to get a pic and send it to a buddy and ask "is this a brown trout"

Pliers & 3/4 buckshot also.

fishing mass pt a couple of weeks ago and dropped my ice scoop down the hole...was in about 26 feet of water...couple of hours later doing an aggressive jigging motion and all of a sudden I felt weight on the line...lifted up a bit and line started to peel out...rod tip was also bouncing like a head shake...after a minute everything goes dead but the rod is still bent, so I keep reeling...and sure as snow is white I hooked into the rubber cap on the handle of the ice scoop...personal best

Minnows!
Slippery devils they are. Learnt to take lure to minnow pail by the shelter rather taking the pail to the hole. 8O
