Its only 61 days, 1 hour and 31 minutes till walleye season starts again and the Kiwanis Walleye World committee are gearing up. Take a moment to buy your ticket and see the prize packages for 2015

If you buy your tickets in March they are the same price as last year.

The prizes section hasn't been updated yet it appears. Still last years as of now.

I can't believe they are charging 50$ for entry. I'll definitely be buying early to save the money.

Is $50 the early price? That's steep!

It doesn't show the early fee on the link above when you go to register, but I did read somewhere that up to March 31, tickets will be $35. I do have to laugh where the website says every entry fee includes a free Jr. ticket. No, you are just charging everyone an extra $15 from the fee from last year for a Jr. ticket you may not use.

Not sure this is the right approach to promote kids fishing. Kids 12 and under should be free, in the hopes that later in life they continue to support this tournament. Not over charge your current entrants that come back year after year.

I guess 4th to 10th place of a free entry to next year's tourney is at least worth $50. Ha Circa 2013

Wow $50.00 is getting up there, I find the prizes seem to get worse every year, I hope they update their web site soon @ $35.00 it's a fair price I'll buy my ticket on line.

Just buy early and it's still $35. My guess is they are just trying to encourage buying your ticket early.

If they want to encourage people to buy tickets early than drop the "earlybird" price to $20 or $25 and leave the original price at $35
Just a thought....

I'll buy one early, but it aint going to stay like this! Next year early bird will be $40 and so on!

I'll keep going fishing for that weekend but eventually will just stop buying a ticket!

Its been $35 for years and atleast its being offered that way still until April 1.

Costs go up for everybody and they aren't immune to that. I gotta imagine that costs like insurance, equipment, supplies, etc have gone and it is as it is. $50 is still a bargain compared to other events in the province.

I agree Kevin67, it looks like they are setting it up for future years. In my mind, right now you are paying a "late" fee if you pay after April 1.

When the entry fee goes up by $15, people are going to start to wonder where all the money goes. I realize costs go up, but it is a significant increase.

Anyways, I'm paid up for one more year. Looking forward to catching some walleye.
