What did I do to P/O the weather gods? Every chance I get to fish it is either windy or raining or both (today). Fished Keiths shoal to lighthouse from 9:30 to 3pm. Partner couldn't go so I went solo. Forgot the depth sounder, so no speedo either, haven't fished without one in years. Managed five walleye all released of course 25", 2@30, 31, and a real hog at 34". All on Mann's off boards back 200'.

What do you reckon that 34-incher would have weighed??? I usually just weigh 'em, and rarely bother with the tape, though obviously I should.

Solo fishing is rad! I once caught 19 walleyes at night fishing solo - it was in November 1999. I climb big walls solo, too. The avatar image you see at left was taken [by someone else on rappel!] on Day 11 of a twelve-day solo of a big wall in Yosemite, California called El Capitan. I'm about two thousand feet off the deck in the photo.

So like, pass the pitons, eh?

I would love to weigh a 34 out of the bay,any estimates on her?I have yet to get anything close to 32 yet.Nice days catch. :wink:

The fish was laid on a 36" yard stick that I have on the downrigger board on the back of my boat. I don't use a cloth tape as they are slower and aren't as accurate. I did have my digital scale but with two boards out and the way the wind was boat control was hard. There were 2 other boats nearby. I weighed a 31" at 13lbs on another trip with my scale however accurate it is and this one felt quite a bit heavier easy 14 maybe 15lbs.
