Does anyone know if the fish counter is in yet at the ladder and if any numbers have been posted?

As of yesterday not even 200 fish have passed over
even walking the river system through the baseball diamond, the file factory pool etc. very few fish to be seen!!!
completed the same walk over 1 week ago and there were no fish at all in the river system
that will change this Thurs/Friday with the big rains coming but probably will not be fishable until Sunday or even Monday because it will become a river of chocolate milk.
you will then see the big numbers over the ladder
fishing in the lower section has been spectacular if you are able to find parking and a 2 ft. section of river you can stand on lol
btw only 17 more sleeps!!!!
cheerz

Thanks for the report Gordo. I wasn't expecting any big numbers over the ladder yet. You're right, the rain and warmer weather should push them. I'll be stopping by the ladder on Sunday on my way home from the cottage and I'll post an update on the numbers.
Thanks Again.

The numbers aren't great but there are a lot of fish below the damn.

Yea, i agree! They're stacked below dam.

I was there when count was 216 and was kinda in shock! They better get moving soon. If i remember correctly, last year 4000 fish went through in the last week alone.
Thinking it's going to turn on this week big time!! :D

The damn needs to go, or find a better way to allow ease of mobility for the Steelhead. Seems pretty inefficient to have to hand bomb trout over the dam doesn't it?

I was there yesterday (Sunday) around 10 am. The sign was dated April 8th and the count was 210. We never saw any trying to jump at all.

Drove around checking other spots. They are up Shelter Valley pretty good.
