This will be my first season in a boat on quinte. We decided to participate in the kiwanis derby and have no clue what to expect . I am having a hard time finding solid info on the Hay Bay launch by the old church as well as the launch on shermans point and huffs . I will only be launching a small boat, my concern is how parking will be at these locations? Any insight will greatly be appreciated .

Church has parking for about 10 trailers and that is if people are parked right, and no parking on the road. Sherman's about 20 and you can park down the lane if needed. Both places can be tight if 1 or 2 trailers are parked in the middle of the lot. Good luck

There is also a spot to launch on the Third Concession off South Shore Road. A little hard to find
and has no dock but if you are launching a 12-14 footer its fair and right across from Shermans but bring tall rubber boots if launching there.
Good luck

Is there not still a launch on the north shore at the east end, somewhat across from Pickerel Park? Remember using 1 there 30 years ago.

It's at the foot of Cuthill lane, off county road 9.

It will be busy opening weekend also.

Lotsa Luck
