I decided to fish Trenton for opener. With the winner coming from there I guess it was the right decision but unfortunately I wasn't the one who hooked into it. I dropped my line at midnight, got up to trolling speed (which was working my motor because of the current) and the first fish hit 45 seconds into the season. 5 minutes had gone by and my partner and I had 3 fish in the boat. Things got a little wild when we got a double header and we had to land fish, and keep the boat straight while not hitting anyone else. We got our limit in 34 minutes. We finished our weekend with 18 walleye and a couple pike to top it off. We kept the smaller ones for a fish fry and threw back anything over 5lbs. How did everyone else make out?

His and Hers. Nice Robbie.

We fell flat on the walleye... only managed to get a couple. Weighed a Pike that didn't quite make the cut. All in all a good weekend though.

Scott.

Nice job on the fishn. We found it tough on saturday and a bit better on Sunday. Only got 1 about 4 lbs on saturday and Sunday got 7 which were 3 lbs or less. Bottom bouncers in 18-25 ft in long reach. water temp was 53. Didnt see alot of fish caught while trolling the cement plant basin so switched over to the bouncers just to catch something.

Awesome to see! I am new to the area so only caught bass, perch and silvers. Clearly I was using the wrong approach. lol.
