Got out Saturday afternoon for a few hours and not a sniff. Set up b bouncers by the cable crossing which usually nets some fish but nothing but perch. Moved up to Sherman's and made a pass there with the same result. Then as its dusk now headed to an area where the weeds are starting and casted cranks. Zippo. Heard from a friend that the MNR had been out doing creel surveys and the result matched my own. They interviewed 77 boats from deseronto to picton bay and of that 77 boats 17 fish caught. Hopefully the change in weather turns em on

It has been very quiet since the opener, originally I thought everyone was to busy fishing to post.
We will be out starting tomorrow for a week, we will give it our all.

My daughter and I landed this feisty guy I reeled in casting in Big Bay Friday night. Pearl Erie Deerie in about 10 feet of water....The only touch in two trips.

I went out Sunday to the mouth of the Napanee river. I caught 3 around 3lbs and I was surveyed by the ministry. I was really surprised they did ask to see fishing licencees

if it is the ministry "kids" (the ones that ask about creel catches), they are not yet licensed, and cannot ask you to see your license.

we get the same ones in Lake Ontario...they can't tell the difference between an Atlantic and a Brown (nor a Rainbow and a Coho).

but they are learnin'.

I have been out most evenings this week going up and down the Trent River by the train bridge and up to the opening into the bay with no luck. Just silver bass and a couple other random fish. I have been trying, jigging, trolling with spinner, cranks, and nada.
