I know this isn't a quinte walleye question or comment by any means but I'm wondering if anyone on this board may have any experience in this Area?

Next week my family and I will be staying in PEI on the North Shore for a little vacation. We are going to be doing some deep sea fishing there, but I am also interested in doing some shore fishing from the beach but haven't the slightest idea if this is worthwhile or even how I might go about this! I'm thinking of far casting some kind of modified drop shot setup with a float on my line a couple feet up from the bait. If anyone has any experience here or any comments that might be beneficial I'd appreciate any help! can't find a whole lot of info on the net about PEI shore fishing so I figured I'd throw it out here!

cheers

Lived in PEI many years ago. Fished the Dunk River for trout, and the French River for mackerel. There is a bridge that crosses the French River that we fished from. We used live Caplin that we caught right at the bridge with a dip net, the weight at the end of the line and up to 3 hooks above with the Caplin on. Just ask the locals if the mackerel are running, this can also be done off any local pier.
Cheers Rob

Did remember that the north shore used to have a few outfits that would take you out deep sea fishing for mackerel, took some German tourists and we had a blast, it wasn't that expensive either.
Cheers Rob
