Our group (6 experienced fishermen) fished the last week of June out of Baycrest on Big Island Our total catch for the week was four small walleye. We covered Big Island shoal, Muscote Bay, Hogsback shoal off of big island, along with trident point the red buoy area and point Anne. Used every type of rig, from bottom bouncers, jigs, and trolling. The odd part was with the bottom bouncers we usually are bothered by panfish, white bass, pearch, and the ever present Drum. we trolled for several hours without a panfish!!!! However on the plus side we landed several nice largemouth (3-4 lbs.) in the weeds behind Grape island. We also caught some nice Northerns casting the shore line of Big Island. It was one of the most difficult trip in the forty years we have been fishing the Bay.
