After a great first week of the season ,I have found the bass bite has been inconsistent for the last few weeks until the last fews days. Up till thurs I have been doing my usual dunking weeds especially green cabbage from 7-10 feet deep. Doing ok but not making history or anything. The bay in my area has had two or three large algae blooms lately, so I though that when in the southern reservoirs when the water is dirty, fish tight to cover sooo. I started fishing real tight to docks, rocks, or anything that appeared to have some water under it as well as the object. Shade didn't seem to be a factor. The water level in the bay is now way up as well. Wow there they are! Two real smashing mornings of quality fish, the biggest being 20 inches. I was using a real bright coloured stick worm weighted and just let it sit there as long as I could. How has your season been going?

Good report, thanks for sharing. I've been fishn haybay and finding the fish up and down. Mostly fishing craws and dunking thick weeds. One day the weeds are loaded then the next ghost town. I have noticed the overall average size is down. Usually not hard to get a few over 3 and half lbs but this year fewer of those size fish showing up.

We've done alright this season. Some days prove to be tougher than others.
